Of the people, for the people, and by the people

Social Security, and a long irritating thought of mine, and probably millions of others.........

Social Security May Run Dry Sooner than expected
"For years, the Social Security trust fund has taken in more than it spent on benefits, resulting in a cushion of billions of dollars that the government could spend on other programs while giving the trust fund an IOU."

Now, there's the crux.  The government Borrowed s/s monies for years, to fund other....Other.... programs.
Then along came the many reasons, through the years, for the gov to not only Not pay back the monies they borrowed, but to use our tax dollars to fund/bail-out their personal-agenda-favorites.  And again and again, they didn't pay back the monies they Borrowed from Social Security funds.  From the people who'd paid in, for the people who'd paid in, and by the people who'd paid in.

Now, we all know that is what Capital Hill does.  They number crunch.  They play with numbers as if those numbers don't come from their own pockets.  Iincluded in their number crunching has been their own raises.....from our hard earned money and our paid taxes on same... and did so with full knowledge that their own retirement benefits/entitlements were safe, after all, they're the ones we've hired and they ensure what goes where.

Ok..... they've taken from the poor to ensure the rich.  Nah, I'm not saying that as the typical cliche.  But as a truth that cuts to the core.

Our employees are robbing us blind.  Our employees are blithley ensuring our demise.  We hired 'em, and we can fire 'em.
However, we never do.

What does it take to enrage the American People?  Each one of them thinking that they can't do anything about what is happening because "'i'm just one person.  i can't do anything about it."

Bah, we were each one person when we cast our vote throughout each of the preceeding years and years of elections.  We are still one person.  We tend to forget that we're many many one persons.

And, we're all dealing with the same thing.  Our money.  Our employees and their spending.  Their agendas.  Our survival.
Don't be bamboozeled by the illusion of They are power.  They are Illusion, yet manifest that they speak for The People.

How has their speaking affected you so far?  How's your job?  Your life?  Your children's future?

Of the people, for the people and by the people.  Bull!  Capital Hill is for capital hill.  And it's way past time for the people to be heard.  Way past time!

By the way, how's that new car doing?  You know, the one that you now own because you and you children's future and their children's future paid for....and, then some.   You know, the one that you couldn't buy to replace your failing vehicle because you couldn't get a loan from the banks you bailed-out so they could again do loans.

Of the people, for the people and by the people.  It's long past time that we remember and become exactly who we thought we were....are.
